The institution is managed through a 4-tier system, viz:

The Managing Director as Chief Executive Officer, is assisted by a General Manager and Heads of the following departments:

Regional Offices are located in Nairobi, Mombasa, Machakos, Embu, Nyeri, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Kakamega.
