It is with a profound sense of pride that I welcome KIE’s ISO 9001:2008 certification which has come as a result of committed and professional work by all staff members. Indeed, the entire process has been managed internally by a team of dedicated officers. Congratulations to everyone involved; let us keep up the same spirit as we serve our beloved nation.
The importance of the ISO 9001:2008, a quality management system (QMS) in its application as a tool for global level benchmarking need not be over-emphasized. On this basis, KIE has resolved that all its processes must strive to not only achieve certification in this standard but also carry out its mandate to customers in accordance with the set standards at all times.
KIE is a state corporation within the Ministry of Industrialization whose responsibility is to promote indigenous industrial enterprises countrywide, focusing on Micro, Small and Medium Industries (MSMIs). This is facilitated by a team of competent and professional workforce deployed in our extensive branch network. We always endeavour to meet and even exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement, product and process re-engineering as well as constant capacity building. Presently, KIE has put in place a modern Information Communication Technology infrastructure to ensure speed and accuracy of service delivery.
As we celebrate this achievement, I wish to thank our Board of Directors for its continued support and oversight. I also wish to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Industrialization, the Treasury and the Kenya Bureau of Standards for making it possible for KIE to attain ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
Having attained this status, we are strongly committed to ensuring quality service at all times.
